Kampong Cham is one of the most highly-populated provinces in Cambodia and most likely the province with the most fertile land as well. The soil is mostly red in colour. Tobacco, soya-beans, rubber and other tropical produce are grown and exported from here. The charming city of Kampong Cham is the best place to get a feel of the “real” Cambodia. While remnants of French colonial rule remain, modern developments have done quite a bit to give the city a more contemporary look. Trip from Siem Reap to Kompong Cham province will take time for 2 days and 1 night.
Day 1: departure in early morning drive 3 hours with 298km through visa Kompong Thom province, on the way you will visit pagodas, typical villages and some local markets. After arrived in Kompong Cham province will have a break for lunch time & check in the hotel. Afternoon will bring you to visit Koh Pen beach, is classified as a recreation park and one of the popular beaches of the Kampong Cham. The site of Koh Pen Beach is located midway to Kampong Cham and Kampong Siem District. The distance is about two kilometers from the Provincial Town of Kampong Cham, it is time to see a strange bamboo bridge and relax until sunset then bring you back the city for dinner.
Day 2: After breakfast at hotel will check out and bring you to visit Nokor Bachey Temple, 421m x 371m dimension made of laterite stones. The height is of 9m and the length is 2.4m. Most part of this building has been destroyed over time. Inside this building we will see structures like Six Lions, Eight Dragons and Two Devils. The second long building is also a beautiful architectural structure that includes two statues of Dek Cho Dam Din, two devils each of1.6-metre in height and two ponds. Continue to see the red soil industry crop of rubber, tabacco and soybean. After lunch at local restaurant will drive you back to Siem Reap end of service.
